Swiss chard salad

I got my swiss chard recently and what’s better use for it than making a nice and fresh salad? It’s quick, easy and the result definitely isn’t bad!

Swiss chard salad

Preparation time: 10 minutes

  • 1 bunch of organic swiss chard
  • 5-6 organic sliced strawberries
  • 2 tbsp. (30ml) of olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. (15ml) of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp. of dijon mustard
  • 3 tbsp. (45ml) of hemp seeds
  • Salt and pepper
  1. In a salad bowl, whisk the oil, the vinegar, the mustard, the salt and pepper to create an emulsion. That way I find it makes a nice creamy texture.
  2. Put in the swiss chard that you had previously cut in small pieces, the sliced strawberries, and the hemp seeds.
  3. Mix it well and set aside for 5 minutes before serving

As I always do, I asked my readers to take part, maybe tell me what they think about my recipes and give me some tips, as well. What do they think of this one? Do they like it, did they make someone important to them happy with it? Did it help them save some time? Simply, what do our readers say about this recipe? Here it comes:

“I think that your blog is awesome and that you’re a real inspiration to me. I also think that the swiss chard and strawberries salad looks and sounds amazing and I can’t wait to try it”

“I’ve been buying Swiss chard for a couple years now, but never knew what to do with it. This salad looks great! I like the colors too…”

“The swiss chard I buy at the farmers’ market is always devoured by my cat (he’s very finicky). So I decided to make this recipe for my dog who loves swiss chard.”

“I always try and use swiss chard, and it’s no different here. This is a really nice idea for a salad, and I like how you’ve managed to make it surprisingly sweet. The dressing is well blended and the seeds offer a great texture contrast.”

“This recipe is natural and has lots of olive oil as well as other healthy ingredients such as seeds (hope something like this can help me lose some weight at least!).”

“I think this recipe has been quite honest, which is why it gets an honest 3 stars from me – was easy and quick, could have tasted it better 🙂”

“It is a nice recipe. I make a similar salad with spinach and strawberries. The recipe is easy, quick and makes a nice variation for lunch.”

“It’s a great idea for lunch or just to have light meal. I have not tried it but I think it will be good.”

“It was good, I enjoyed it quite a lot. my husband was a bit dissapointed though”

And a little note before I will finally say goodbye to y’all: You’re 1 000, no 1 000 000, no 1 000 000 000 times more awesome and nice and excellent than every recipe here. Love you, love you all!
