Honey is a great immune system booster. Important too is to make sure you get a good quality, unpasteurized and organic, even better if you can get it from a local producer. I get mine from Miels D’Anicet.

My kids ask for that syrup, first because they know it’s good for them but I also think that they like the taste. 🙂 It actually does have a good taste.

Onions like I said in my previous post are ideal raw to fight your cold!

Another thing that works is that when you’re congested, you cut an onion in half and place it on your night table. It helps to breathe better. Surprising!

This is how to make this grandmother recipe!

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Waiting time: 3-4 hours or more

The amount of syrup will vary depending on how juicy your onions are. I got 1/3 cup of syrup.

  1. Thinly slice your onion.
  2. Place your slices in a dish and cover them with honey.
  3. Set it aside for a few hour then press the excess of juice from your onion.

You can now take it to prevent or to help your cold!
