The other day, I was looking for a book to help me make a better use of the different type of grains. It talks about Quinoa, amaranth, buckwheat, brown rice, chia, millet, oat, kamut, spelt, barley, faro and freekeh (wheat that is picked while green and then put through roasting process).
It gave me the idea to put chia seed in my crepes, as they have this recipe “Chia crepes with star anise mandarins”. It adds omega-3 and omega-6, it is rich in protein and high in fiber. All that added to our regular dough and no argument with the kids.
